Cllr Timmons says “I am working with the newly formed Newcastle Community Secondary school committee – our first step is to gather as much data as possible from Newcastle Residents and from schools in the Four Districts and Citywest, from this we will than compile the data and hope to proove the need”

Cllr Timmons says “Preassure needs to go on all local election cadidates running in June Election and those running as TDs in a general election thats on the Horizon!’

Cllr Timmons says “Newcastle has been let down by planning – the department has agreed to the need for a second primary school but no secondary – it doesnt make sense for many reasons including!

– traffic congestion

– transport options

– sustainable communities

– lifelong supports  

– walking / cycling to school”

Cllr Timmons says “I raised the need for a secondary school in Newcastle in the County development plan and the lack of school places through area meetings motions”
